Abstract

This paper presents a new technique for the stabilization of singular systems with interval time delay in the presence of actuator saturation such that a stability criterion is obtained depending on the delay variation rate, upper and lower bounds. The purpose of stabilization is to design a saturated state feedback control law such that the closed-loop system is regular, impulse free and stable. The time delay has been considered to be time varying with known lower and upper bound. The problem of stabilization is studied in two cases. First, delay in-dependent stability theorems are proposed for singular time varying systems. Then, the delay-range-dependent conditions in terms of LMI are obtained which guarantees that the singular time-delay systems be admissible. Additionally, the proposed theorems give an estimate of domain of attraction of the closed-loop system. Finally, to demonstrate the effectiveness and applicability of the proposed control approach, a partial element equivalent circuit model (as a practical delayed singular system) and a numerical example are considered and simulation results have verified the theoretical results of this article.
